Scholarships

Each year the JWC awards scholarships to students that have plans to further their education after graduating from high school.  Scholarships are given to students that plan on attending a trade school, a Jr. College or a 4-Year College.  Applicants must be a resident of Canyon Lake to apply.

Who qualifies?

         Any Canyon Lake resident who is a High School Senior and

                has a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Applications are accepted from April 1st - May 15th, 2022.

*Late entries will not be reviewed. 

​

Upon receipt of submission, an interview time will be scheduled for Saturday, May 21st, 2022

​

All submissions must be electronically submitted to :

 Completed applications include:

  1. Application form (Download)

  2.  Copy of your transcript *GPA must be 3.0 or higher

  3. Two letters of recommendation 

  4. “About Me” page / document sharing who you are without words. Be creative, use pictures, etc.

  5. Essay  - 3 pages max., typed double-spaced - "How have you been positively affected by living in Canyon Lake? How have you positively affected Canyon Lake? What have you done to leave your footprint in our great community?" 

  6. Copy of your POA card

  7. Verification of volunteer work 

 

Recipients will be notified by May 31st, 2022
